Restorative sleep in a stylish interior: the Home Sleep themed area presents the latest bedroom trends.

Welcome to the Home interior world

Strictly speaking, the Home interior world is more than just one world. No less than three Home interior worlds make the imm Spring Edition what it is – the leading interior business event. One example is the Home Scenes themed area, which you will find in Halls 10.1 and 10.2. Featuring stylish furniture, this area is exclusively dedicated to lifestyle-oriented interior design and superior living comfort. The latest trends relating to sofa and chair suites, armchairs, divans, sofas, living room furniture and shelving systems will be presented here. No matter which exhibition stand you visit, you will be surrounded by the most up-to-the-minute designs. The same goes for the Home Settings themed area, which is devoted to colourful, diverse home styles at competitive prices and can be found in Halls 5.1, 5.2 and 6. Stand-alone furniture and furnishing systems for the living room and bedroom are not the only things exhibited here. Creative furnishing solutions for working from home stand alongside innovative storage concepts and intriguing home accessories. In the spirit of simply trying things out and reimagining the design of your home, the exhibition space is even replete with DIY furniture. The Home Sleep themed area in Hall 9, where the most recent sleep-related trends are presented, is a bit less colourful, but far more tranquil. Restorative sleep, or rather innovative concepts designed to promote it, take centre stage here. The pieces on display range from mattress and sleep systems through to box-spring and water beds and high-quality accessories and textiles. The interplay between support and pressure relief, which has been honed to perfection in line with the latest standards in the Home Sleep themed area, ensures total relaxation.

Pure Galleries and Design for Decades

Is this still a trade fair or is it really an art gallery? You might find yourself asking this question when you make your way through Hall 11.2. Spread out before you, you will see the innovative Pure Galleries exhibition – a large, open work of art comprising various compact spaces. Their design is deliberately understated and minimalistic, as the furnishings are the centrepiece. For Dick Spierenburg, Director of the imm Spring Edition, the gallery-inspired exhibition design offers trade fair visitors a fresh perspective on the objects displayed, which take centre stage.

Another special highlight is the “ Design for Decades ” exhibition, which brings together an exclusive selection of timeless product designs. Are you wondering what makes the pieces displayed here so special? They are all long-lasting and capable of being reused. For example, manufacturers may rework their items of furniture by carrying out updates and redesigns geared towards staying up to date with current standards. This results in original, unique pieces, leading to less new goods being produced and purchased. Renowned design classics from the likes of Leolux, Montis, Kettnaker and Brühl & Sippold are displayed at Design for Decades. However, the exhibition also includes more recent creations featuring designs that have what it takes to become a classic. Pure Galleries opens on the first day of the trade fair – with a vernissage, of course!

Speakers' Corner@The Circle

When making your way through Pure Galleries, you won’t be able to miss the Speakers' Corner@The Circle . This is where host Simon Keane-Cowell invites some of the most brilliant minds in the architecture and design scene to join him for an Architonic live talk. Central topics will include materials, sustainability and technology – flavoured with personal anecdotes from industry heavyweights.

Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider, founders of the design studio KASCHKASCH, which serves renowned national and international clients in the fields of furniture, lighting design and art direction, will kick off the event on the first day of the imm Spring Edition. They will be followed by Werner Aisslinger, whose design projects merge storytelling, narrative architecture and principles of collage. He is also one of the few designers in Germany to have his pieces featured in almost all major museum collections worldwide – from MoMA to the Victoria & Albert Museum. The calibre of the next guests is just as high: product designer Sebastian Herkner, whose extraordinary product designs have received international acclaim and earned him the EDIDA Award for Best Designer of the Year, will take to the stage at 3.00 p.m. His customers include notable brands such as Ames, &Tradition, Classicon, Pedrali and Cappellini.

The second and last day of the Architonic Live Talks will get underway with Maxime d'Angeac, founder of the eponymous architecture and interior design studio who has made a name for himself worldwide with his exceptional interiors. His trademark is the mixture of classic and contemporary elements and, above all, his use of light. This talk will be followed by one with Patrick Reymond – co-founder of atelier oï – who will provide fascinating insights into his work, which involves experimentation with materials, form and typology. The grand finale of the live talks will feature architect Dara Huang. Design Haus Liberty, the award-winning architecture and interior design studio she founded, is known for its bespoke, high-end and sustainable interiors. With all these insights on offer, at some point you might need a break. That is why The Circle has a bar and lounge area, where you can network with a refreshment in hand.
