Welcome to the exhibition "Design for Decades"! Here you will find an exclusive selection of timeless product designs that stand for longevity and reuse in the spirit of the circular economy.
Dick Spierenburg, Director of imm Spring Edition, curates the design classics that have been in the exhibitors' collections for more than ten years. Of course, there are also always new product designs that have the potential to become real classics - these designs are also part of the exhibition.
The material and manufacturing quality as well as the timeless design of the furnishing objects are decisive for their longevity. After use by the first buyer, the products are often resold several times and sometimes personalised by new users. Through updates and redesigns, the products have been updated to meet today's standards. The objects remain in the furnishing world for decades, thus reducing new productions and new purchases, which has a positive effect on material consumption and energy use.
