Prof. Dr. med. Ingo Fietze
Ingo Fietze opened the first sleep laboratory at the Charité in 1990 and founded an Interdisciplinary Sleep Medicine Centre at the Clinic for Cardiology and Angiology at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin in Berlin in 2005, which has been an independent department since 2019. He learned practical sleep medicine in Marburg, San Diego and Detroit. He stands for topics of sleep medicine and sleep research in their entire breadth from A -like drug effect -to Z -like teeth grinding. The scientific focus is on the cardiovascular risk of sleep disorders, the influence of exogenous factors on normal and disturbed sleep and new therapy methods. Professor Fietze is engaged in numerous national and international professional societies and professional associations and is chairman of sleep medicine Berlin Brandenburg as well as chairman of the board of the German donation Schlafdu of the initiative DSG - Germany sleep healthy.
