The whole interior world of sleep

This interior world presents mattresses and sleep systems, box-spring beds and water beds for innovative sleeping comfort, complemented by decorative bedding and accessories.

Highly functional sleep systems and scientific insights can make a vital contribution to good sleep and physical relaxation – and the modern products showcased in the interior world of Home Sleep translate the interaction between support and pressure relief into a wealth of innovations. At first glance, all mattresses are rectangular, white and rather unspectacular. But closer inspection of what’s on show in the Home Sleep section of the fair reveals that, more so than in most other furniture categories, the mattresses and sleep systems, box-spring beds and waterbeds presented here depend on their hidden qualities to set them apart from the crowd. No other segment relies so strongly on evolution through technical innovation. As a result, Home Sleep is not so much a shop window as a laboratory – a platform for a range of products that probably requires more explanation than any other category at imm cologne.

Functionality meets aesthetics

Since wellbeing depends in no small measure on the combined effect of the individual elements of a sleep system – their climate-regulating properties as well as their look and feel – textile bedding ranges are also an integral part of Home Sleep. Together with the accessories, they succeed in turning a product category that is largely defined by ergonomic and technical aspects into a genuine lifestyle segment driven by wellness aspirations.
