Real moss walls and plant walls from Freund GmbH come in a variety of designs: in the form of Greenwood Moss Jungle, for example, a dense plant wall can be created for interiors that requires neither light nor water, feeding or professional maintenance - a major advantage. If the designs for your interior require a more reduced solution, we can create a moss wall with a forest-like appearance based on our GREENWOOD forest moss (see e.g. with Greenwood Extra Plus).
Freund GmbH moss walls consist of 100% real moss and real plants, are handmade in Germany and are suitable for vertical wall greening as well as for installation on the ceiling or on the floor.
Customers can choose between four options, with the base always made of preserved forest moss. Combined with GREENHILL Polstermoos Hills, preserved grasses and plants, unique forest textures are created in varying levels of intensity and compaction, up to a wild jungle look:
- Moss wall GREENWOOD MOOS EXTRA Individual | Forest moss and
cushion moss on MDF
- Moss wall GREENWOOD MOOS EXTRA PLUS Individual | Forest moss,
cushion moss and fern on MDF
- Plant wall GREENWOOD MOSS FOREST Individual | Moss and plants
- Plant wall GREENWOOD MOSS JUNGLE Individual | Moss and dense
plant arrangement on MDF
The demand for Greenwood Moss Jungle & More moss walls and plant walls is growing not only for interior design of office and working environments. For example, our maintenance-free products are also suitable as a green wall in canteens, as total eye-catchers in the hospitality sector like cafés and restaurants, as a calming piece of nature in aesthetic spa and hotel facilities, as a small oasis in shopping centres or as a booth highlight and attraction for visitors at trade fair events.
Together with our clients we develop an evergreen, maintenance-free design solution, always matching the individual interior concept. Our in-house florist team designs a spectacular jungle look for the wall, the floor or the ceiling, depending on the customer's preferences. The result is a unique, lasting green moss and plant arrangement that will give our clients long-lasting inspiration.
When wooden surfaces are used in the design of interiors, the surroundings are automatically perceived as calming, warm and cosy, even stress-reducing. Touching wood gives us a strong feeling of closeness to nature and a sense of security. Our NATURE product BARK HOUSE® Premium Poplar Bark owns these excellent characteristics to a large extent. Here, a sustainable, regenerative process is used to turn an originally unused by-product of the wood furniture industry into a high-quality and unique product for cladding walls, columns and furniture.
Every piece is unique
On the hottest days of the year the timber of the poplar trees, which are between 30 and 45 m high, is harvested. During this process, the up to 4 cm thick tree bark is peeled carefully in one piece from the trees, carried with great care through the forest, then heavily weighted and brought into a straight shape. After harvesting and drying, the bark can be used as a whole piece, without a separate carrier material.
We offer our BARK HOUSE® Premium poplar bark panels in various sizes. In length up to 3.05 m, the width varies up to approx. 1.70 m. Every single panel is unique! The surface structure not only conveys a grandiose feel, but also a natural woody smell. By the way: The bark panels are suitable for interior use as well as for exterior facades.
As a lower-cost alternative to the solid bark panels, you can also purchase so-called shingles from poplar tree bark from us. These have a fixed height of 0.66 m and a "cut up" width of 1.22 m, and are only sold in layers of 0.81 m² each (sales unit).
Even more NATURE from Freund
The NATURE product category includes many other interesting natural materials that can be used for innovative interior design. In addition to being used on straight walls, not only poplar bark but also birch bark and cork bark can be bent - as we impressively demonstrate to our visitors at the imm cologne 2020. The birch bark, for example, smoothly surrounds organic, round shapes. In combination with soft, natural leather surfaces, this creates creative stools, tables and other furniture highlights.
