Interdane is designed by Oluf Lund, as a result of a final project to graduate at the School of Architecture. It is created of stainless steel,
giving the designer the opportunity to work with very thin steel dimensions in the frame. The main idea of the seating comfort of the chair
is based on a principle of a hammock, this always fits to everyone’s back. On the hammock there is a pillow of cold foam with fiber around it.
The decorative stitching gives the chair a real graphic expression.
"Interdane can something no other chairs can: It has a built-in footrest, which is easy to fold out and back, and it also acts as an extra back
cushion. In this way Interdane is both flexible and multifunctional."
The chair was launched at the furniture fair in Copenhagen in 1990 and also won the Danish Furniture Industry Design Award in 1990.
