[D³] Design talents - The event for young designers at the imm cologne
Since 2006 the young designers event of imm cologne is staging every year again numerous innovations and inspiring products either in design as in materials and will develop further. After the premiere of the D3 Contest and D3 Professionals at hall 3.2 these events will again be presented within the pure village.
At the talent forum [D3] Design talents, visitors will chiefly find product groups that have just begun to take off: experimental designs, original creations, and clever new construction principles from the most promising newcomers on the scene. Many young designers have drawn attention to themselves here and later found their place in the industry.
Moreover, the lively and heterogenous environment of the pure village segment is just the right atmosphere for the creative and unconventional products. This year, there were 689 submissions to the [D3] Contest, and the jury selected 28 products. Examples are the FALT.Leuchte made of concrete from Tim Mackerodt or the furniture pieces from Julien Renault that look like solid wood but are actually made of recycled plastic.
